Leisure Time of Roma Children and Youth at Prague 3

PhDr. Monika Nová, Ph.D. MPH The theoretical part of this bachelor thesis describes leisure time - the history of leisure time, functions and leisure time of children and youth. It also describes the Roma community, the history of Roma in the Czech Republic and the topic of integration, segregation, discrimination and social exclusion of Romani people. It also focuses on Roma children and youth and their leisure time. The theoretical part concludes with a list of institutions working with Roma children and youth in Prague 3. In the practical part, a quantitative method was used to collect data through a questionnaire survey. The aim of the bachelor thesis was to find out how Roma children and youth in Prague 3 spend their leisure time.
Delimitation and mapping of catchment areas of primary schools: a case study of the Prague 3 Municipal District

The bachelor thesis was aimed at providing an overview on various principles and consequences of delimitation of catchment areas of primary schools (CAPS) in Czechia in theory and in practice. The problem is presented on an example of the territory of Prague 3 Municipal District. The non-specific aim of the thesis is to describe legal principles of delimitation of CAPS, a geographic perspective of delimitation of CAPS, how the delimitation of CAPS is associated with the topic of education inequality and how CAPS are in effect delimited by responsible civil servants. The specific aim is to study specifics and development of the territory of Prague 3 Municipal District and to characterise particular primary schools in the city district with respect to a development of a number of pupils in schools. A current delimitation of CAPS and a development of CAPS from 1997 to the present is mapped, analysed and discussed. Regional transport with respect to institutions

This Bachelor thesis is focused on an impact of the selected formal institutions -- laws and regulations, on the individual automobile transport. There is characterized transport in Prague, focused on the situation in Prague 3. There are listed all formal institutions -- laws and regulation which are connected with paid parking areas. Paid parking areas, which are on territory of Prague, are closely described. Specifically, it is shown here where exactly zones are, who can park on them and for what price. There is also described their division in blue, green, orange and mixed zones. Attention is also paid to transport policy, mainly to parking policy. This part is focused on the need for regulation of this policy. Mainly due to urban sprawl and increasing number of cars. The thesis is connected with institutions. There is described a general characteristic of institutions, their division into formal and informal. In addition, there is assesses the situation with parking in a selected area of Prague 3. Separately, there is described situation in Jarov. The zones will be implemented here in future. The knowledge in the theoretical part is followed by practical part. In the practical part the impact of selected formal institutions (which are described in detail in the theoretical part) on private automobile transport is evaluate there.
A comparative analysis of the revitalization potential of city district Prague 3 and Prague 7

The aim of this work is to compare the revitalization potential of both area and value of projects planned use of industrial buildings of two city districts. In this respect, there are examples of industrial buildings both areas, and their past original use and describes their current status. This work evaluates the positive and negative aspects of actual and planned projects and their impact on the environment. Take into account the terms of their historical development, current use and future workload and projects in the context of the constraints of location, the zoning plan and the outside not only economic ties. Additional part of the work is a simple case study of revitalized area with similar character elsewhere in the world.
